The Grand Theater

The Grand Theater project is a 14 screen movie complex with 3,000 total seats. The project is constructed in Downtown Lincoln on one city block bounded by 11th and 12th Streets. Several existing buildings had to be demolished (including the Lincoln Theater previously built by Hampton Enterprises' Construction Division) to make way for this new project.

Construction utilized slab on grade and elevated slabs, structural steel columns and beams, bar joist with metal deck roof structure. Precast concrete theater seating risers and insulated precast concrete panels for exterior walls.

The project earned Hampton an Excellence in Construction award from Cornhusker Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors in February 2005.
